General Summary of Duties:

The full-time position includes seeing patients in both our Meadville and Cochranton offices. We also have a part-time position available for our Meadville office and a part-time position available for our Cochranton office

Northwest Physicians Associates, P.C. was incorporated in August of 1995. It is a multi-specialty physician owned Professional Corporation located throughout Northwestern and Western Pennsylvania.

Northwest Physicians Associates is seeking candidates for the full-time or part-time positions of Nurse Practitioner in our family medicine practice.

Essential Functions:

• Provides general medical care and treatment in concert with collaborating physician, performing physical exams, diagnosis and treatment within prescribed protocols and consistent with licensed scope of practice.
• Ensure the delivery of all medical treatment and care is consistent with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards, including clinical policies and quality initiatives.
• Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.
• Ensures accuracy, timeliness, and appropriate confidentiality with patient electronic documentation.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify clinical problems and health care needs.
• Develop and ensure favorable relationships with all patients and their families, ensuring all patient services are delivered in a caring and professional manner.
• Consults with collaborating physician when necessary to prepare comprehensive patient care plan.
• May refer patients to physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.
• Participates in compliance and performance improvement activities.
• Participates in the review and development of clinical policies, protocols and standing orders.
• Develop and ensure ongoing, positive relationships and collaboration with all clinical staff.
• Functions as team leader; promoting communication and collaboration within assigned clinical team.
• Trains, mentors and supervises students as assigned.
• Consistently practices universal precautions.
• Meets professional behavioral expectations for attendance, appearance, professionalism, communication.
• Prolonged sitting and/or standing and moving about throughout the workday.
• Potential exposure to biohazardous materials.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Education:

• MSN or DNP from an accredited educational institution
• Licensed to practice in Pennsylvania
• Maintains requisite CME credits for area of specialty
• Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS)

Salary commensurate with experience.
